The d/l for gulliver is fairly typical among our steel motor yacht designs and sailing yacht designs. in particular, check out the relatively small but fairly light displacement 36' steel ketch design, grace and the 32' steel tug yacht, terrier (illustrated above). these boats are considerably smaller than 100' loa, yet they are fairly light. Please browse our selection of stock aluminum boat designs (plans) below. please be aware that we have several designs available that are not shown on the webpage. additionally, we may have variants of existing designs already in hand. for example, if we show a boat with an outboard (ob) motor, we may have an i/o option already on hand.. In general it is possible to design and build very fine steel boats down to around 35 feet (give or take a few feet), these smaller vessels will necessarily make use of 10 gauge mild steel plate and they will therefore necessarily require much greater skill in building. small metal boats are not designed with an appreciable corrosion.
