poling skiff boat plans
Standard sabine skiffs poling platform with seadek pad . vmarine push pole holders. removable grab bar . odyssey 925 cranking battery. blue sea battery on/off switch. blue sea 6 panel fuse bank. 750 gpm automatic rule bilge pump with switch. led navigation lights with switch. pop-up cleat on fore deck. seadek in cockpit. 18' poling skiff build. jump to i'm thinking of building and looking at several designs and plans. i built wooden jon boats in arkansas with my granddaddy when i was young. god bless and keep the military, i appreciate all of them, they were really in the boat business. the fs20 is the one that interests me or at least one of the ones. The bow will now be higher out of the water which causes much more noise in a chop that will spook fish. a heavy boat with a heavier engine also requires more fuel weight. it’s a classic catch 22. a poling skiff must be light and balanced! a large engine on a very light skiff is a prescription for a bad poling skiff..
